An non-laser operated Elevator in The Butterfly Effect
Elevators consist of a solid square platform that travels up a empty shaft of the same size. Elevators remain stationary unless activated by an external mechanism.
Laser Beam Activated[]
Some elevators are activated by a Laser Beam. These elevators will begin moving as soon as the beam is activate and travel until they reach the top of the shaft. After reaching this point, they may or may not go back down.
Movable Block Activated[]
Other elevators, such as the elevator in The Butterfly Effect do not move automatically and are instead controlled by pushing a Movable Block. When the movable block is pushed in the elevator platform will go down, when it is release the platform will go back up.
